  • Average purchase weight ranges from 1.1 kg to 1.4 kg (2.4 lb to 3.1 lb)
  • Four to six portions per rabbit
  • Sold fresh or frozen
  • Available in Quebec at Provigo, Maxi, Loblaw, Metro and Super C.

FEATURES

  • The meat has a high yield since little is lost during cooking.
  • It is white and is similar to chicken.
  • Unlike chicken, the meat is not protected by skin.
  • Rabbit is very simple to cook, though some care must be taken.
  • The meat has a distinctive taste even when prepared with flavourful ingredients and can be cooked in many ways, and combined with many ingredients and seasonings.
